The goal of child support is to make sure the parent in primary custody of a child has enough resources to make sure their kid is happy and healthy. When a dispute arises over child support, it is almost never a simple issue to deal with. The star of MTV's program "Teen Mom," Kailyn Lowry, is currently battling with her 2-year-old son's father over the amount he pays in monthly child support. Young, single Ohio mothers already have find difficulty with raising a child on their own. They don't deserve the stress of a child support dispute.

The little boy's father has gone public with his dissatisfaction over his obligation to provide support for his child. He commented that "$470 every month" is "too much." The man is unwilling to pay Lowry the money he owes her.

Lowry and her child's father may be headed to court to resolve their dispute. The young mom believes that the father's issues with paying as much as he does are unfounded because of his current financial situation.

However this fight is resolved, it looks like it might be aired on national television, as much of the bickering between the parents has occurred on-screen already. The most important thing that must be remembered is that a child's needs must be considered in a custody or support dispute. Parents have a responsibility to provide for their children, no matter whether that support comes in the form of monetary payments or time spent caring for the child. For the sake of the 2-year-old boy's welfare, we hope the parents seek the right advice to resolve their grievance in an amicable fashion.
